Application Procedure
A complete application is mandatory to be considered for participation in this Symposium. The application consists of the following:

  • Basic personal information
  • Statement of interest (250 words) – explain how you would benefit from this Symposium
  • Upload ONE PDF containing:
    • Research statement (3-5 pages) – describe research accomplishments (1-2 pages) and research plans (2-3 pages)
    • Personal biosketch – standard NIH format
    • Two nomination letters – from your current or previous Lab PI, Program Supervisor, Department Head, or mentor in support of your application for this Symposium. Letters should recommend the applicant based on their accomplishments, abilities and potential to be a leader in the field, as well as comment on the potential benefit of the symposium for the applicant.

Eligibility

  • Starting faculty (0-3 years since starting faculty position)
  • Postdoctoral fellows (including clinical fellows in a research lab)

The workshop is designed to develop the scientific programs and careers of lab-based scientists focused on cancer immunology, ranging from basic science research to therapeutic development (as well as clinical trials with a strong research component). Applicants should be either postdocs or new faculty.

Selection of Participants
The Symposium faculty will review and accept applications based on the quality of the applicant’s research accomplishments and plans, on the nomination letters by mentors, and on the potential benefit to the applicant.

Applicants will receive notification as to whether or not they have been accepted as a participant in February 2025.
